What is Physical Fitness:
Physical Fitness is the ability of a person to perform physical activities safely, avoiding the risk of suffering health problems or injuries.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is the ability to perform muscle or physical activity satisfactorily.
The assessment by a healthcare professional tells you if a person is able to do physical activities safely without putting their health or physical integrity at risk.
This concept is related to the vitality and energy that a person has. It determines its vigor and dynamism for the practice of activities that require physical effort.
What is physical fitness assessment for?
Fitness analysis assesses a person’s responsiveness to the demands of physical exertion for both moderate and demanding exercise.
Thus, a person with good fitness should be able to perform such activities without reaching exhaustion of the body.
Confirmation that an individual has physical fitness can be used in a variety of situations. A very common application is the confirmation required by sports entities or gyms before the person starts exercising or sports.
A certificate of physically fitness may be requested, for example, upon admission to a job when the activity to be performed requires some effort.
In some open competitions the assessment of the suitability of a candidate is mandatory and may be eliminatory in case of unsatisfactory results. In competitions, the assessment is usually called the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
Proper certification is also important for sports performance analysis and is critical to ensuring the health and performance of athletes from all sports areas.
